The 10-208X is the correct beltline weatherstrip material for the 1953 Chevy Bel Air. This 10-208X material is also sold as a pair of 3' strips, see #10-049X. These are identical materials with the exception that the 10-208X is sold as a pair or 4' sections, the 10-049X is sold as a pair of 3' sections. Most vehicles in your era will require 4 pairs of the 10-049X when doing the inners and outers on all doors and quarter windows.
Keep in mind this is a cut to length material, but this is easy to do. Also, while it has the metal core as original, it is flexible as the core is segmented - you can get up to a 90 degree bend. To install you will need hardware and or adhesive. We recommend using the original GM Factory method which is typically a staple for the inners and likely a clip for the outers. While I am not certain of this, most cars of this era follow this method. I have put a link below to the page on our site where we offer beltline related hardware. Also, while the original factory method is great, there are many ways to install these. Some guys, even high end shops use a urethane adhesive (we do not sell). Others use rivets or screws or a combination. If you have further questions please call or email - 866-789-7879 or sales@rubbertherightway.com
