Hi,
You are correct - this seal is simply the 16' extrusion and would required you cut/bond corners. I do show we offer trunk seals with the proper corners but for Ford only. I am not sure how different your Mercury would be so that route may be worth a try but in my opinion it may be easier to use this seal and bond your own corners with weatherstrip adhesive or urethane.
