So this product (#10-428X) is for the Bronco, not the F Series. If you want to replace the channel only, and not the entire division bar assembly, this can be done. The correct channel is #10-153X (see link below). This 10-153X is the same material as the original and the same material used on the complete division bar assemblies.
I believe the original channel was riveted to the assembly. You will need to remove the old channel and install the new one. Please note our 10-153X is sold as a pair of 3' sections so you will need to trim/cut it down slightly for a perfect fit.
