Great question. The majority of inner beltline weatherstrips on these classic cars, trucks & vans were staples to the top of the door panels. We do offer the correct stainless steel staples part #19-051F - see link below. The upside to doing the staples is they are factory correct. The downside is there is no tool to install these - they must be installed 1 at a time, by hand. You will need to drill pilot holes and bend the legs over on the backside. With that being said, the majority of our customers tell us that instead of the staples they use either a sheet metal xxxx (see our #19-073F), rivet or glue. The 2 types of glue we hear the most are 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive or Urethane.
