Hi,
Most of the time these were installed using a heavy duty staple from the factory. To re-create this look the staples must be installed one at a time by hand...it is a pain. We do sell reproduction stainless steel staples if you want to go this route (#19-051F). That being said, most guys will use either a xxxx , rivet or glue as these methods are much easier and achieve the same look.
